Toasted sandwich maker vs panini press
Have you ever wondered what the difference between a toasted sandwich maker and a panini press is? After all, they are both kitchen appliances which do essentially the same thing, that is, make hot toasties. So are they the same thing or do they differ in some way? This article will go on to discuss this question.
A panini press is a toasted sandwich maker but the same cannot be said in reverse. Toasted sandwich machines typically only make one kind of toastie. That is the ones made of standard bread that has been bought from a supermarket. The device has grooves cut into it that are just the right size to make a toastie from “regular” bread. On the other hand, a panini press is just that, a press. It opens and can be set to different height levels that let users make many different styles of sandwiches using them. Not only that but they can also be used for many different foods. For example it is possible to cook eggs and even meat in them. These types of sandwich presses are much more versatile grilling machines.
While it is possible to do many more cooking tasks with panini presses versus standard hot sandwich makers there is also a price differential. Of course it is the machines that have more features that cost more. Therefore if you are looking for a hot sandwich making appliance you will have to carefully consider what sort of foods you would like to make. If all you want to do is to quickly prepare some hot toasties as a snack then a cheaper standard toasted sandwich maker will work just fine. Certainly as a student I often made these types of snacks in my sandwich toaster machine. They were very easy to prepare and cleaning the machine afterwards was not too difficult. So if you are a student yourself you may find this kind of toasted sandwich maker useful.
